Winner of Tempe Artists Guild's July 2010 Artist of Month

I began studying art in 1999, with classes in watercolor painting.  I have subsequently studied (and continue to study) acrylics, colored pencil, and pastels. I love art in all forms, but find myself producing stylized and contemporary works.

Accomplishments and awards:

Accepted as a juried member of the Arizona Art Alliance in 2007

Awarded 3rd place  in "Other 2-dimensional Art" in the May, 2008 Arizona Art Alliance Exhibition

Elected President of the Tempe Artists Guild for 2 terms-2008/2009 and 2009/2010

Juried into the Colored Pencil Society of America, Arizona Chapter 212, show in Casa Grande, AZ in 2008

Won Artist of the Month award for the Tempe Artists Guild in October, 2008

One of 12 artists winning a judged contest for the Tempe Artists Guild 2009 "Reflections" Calendar

Won the 2008 Artist of the Year award for the Tempe Artists Guild with my painting, "Touring Naxos"

Juried into the Art on Boston Gallery in Chandler, AZ in December 2008 and was awarded first place in the Tempe Artists Guild exhibit at that gallery for "Touring Naxos"

Won 3rd place Artist of the Month for Tempe Artists Guild in January 2009

Won 2nd place Artist of the Month for Tempe Artists guild in March 2009

Juried in the SKYE Restaurant exhibit in Peoria, AZ.  The exhibit is on display from August, 2009 through January, 2010.  

Won 1st place Artist of the Month for Tempe Artists Guild in July 2010
